[ Gene has been gone for a few hours, probably just to get out of the house, to grab a few food supplies and of course, to get a present for a very special a girl; a special girl he has been neglecting for the past few days. ]

[ He slithers inside the house, careful as to not draw attention. And after he drops the bags of groceries off in the kitchen, he heads to Melfina's door and gently knocks against the frame. ]

Melfina? It's me, Gene. Hey, do you mind..opening the door?

[ He nervously holds a bundle of mixed-colored flowers in his hand and taps his foot. ]

What the hell is going on? Why is everyone acting so funny?

And christ, would someone in this house warn me before people come barging in? I won't come out in a towel next time.

I'm going to take the bottle of beer I got from that guy and I'm going to relax and hope this bull just goes away.

I need to find some wizards; gotta get some caster shells if what that guy's pamphlet is all true. Damnit, and here I thought I would be, y'know, patrolling space, having a good time with life. Nope, course not.

Well, I guess being a hired hand is the way to go here so.
